The Da Vinci Code
Author: Dan Brown

Review By: Yvonne

I recently read a book that was recommended to me,called The Da Vinci Code,by Dan Brown.
I haven't read any other books by him but I found with my Christian background and
somewhat open mind, that this book intrigued me. As another reviewer recently commented, I
could hardly put it down.

It deals with a secret society within the Catholic Church or more accurately outside of it, but known to it. The Knights Templar, which have made a guest appearance in the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning, are also mentioned in this book. You may also remember them from the movie with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, though in this story, the Grail has another meaning altogether, as you will find out.

I find it extremely entertaining when I can learn something from a book that sparks my interest or challenges my mind. This book did that and I highly recommend it to all. It is basically a mystery and I feel it has an interesting twist to the ending. It should keep you spellbound throughout. Some of its highlights also include Paris, France, the Louvre, and Leonardo Da Vinci. I find I would like to learn more about the two groups he mentions. Happy reading.
